The Rundown

Alright let's do this from the beginning. The small, scrawny version of me seemed to lean towards the arts or science in school. Something about letting my mind chase ideas and new concepts meshed with my being. It was in high school and the influence of my older brother that sold me on the pursuit of creative work as a career. Andy had graduated from DePaul with a bachelor's in film and gave me a quick rundown of what it's like. It sounded awesome. Around the time I'd start high school, I watched the movie "The Social Network" with him. Initially I had no interest whatsoever in the idea of a movie about the making of Facebook and yet it grabbed me. I think it was the first time I saw a movie and really understood what cinema is. Might sound ridiculous to say that about this movie but I'm serious. I wanted to make something like it someday. That started my study of film through high school and college, even taking theatre and photography courses to explore more and round out my skillset. Since then, I've worked on a music video, acted in and produced plays, and made connections in the music world, shooting sets and stills for artists. I'm currently writing some scripts and a comic, and gearing up for some short films that'll be submitted to festivals next year.
